Lovely's Sewing & Arts Collective
PROJECT 1: Sewing Classes
The core of Lovely's Sewing & Arts Collective is to teach youth that come from low income families and youth that have ADHD the art of sewing by hand and on the sewing machine. Sewing is used as a tool to teach patience and focus. Through sewing the kids learn leadership and how to control behavior in many ettings.
PROJECT 3: Inspirational Tote Bags
Purchase an inspirational tote bag and help pay for the kid’s snacks for a week. The tote bags are $25 each and we currently spend $25 a week on snack. Your $25 helps to feed 12 to 15 students. We look forward to you supporting.
Purchase a student tote bag and help them open a saving account. The more you help, he more the kids can grow full circle.
PROJECT 2: One on one youth private lessons
Young boys and girls come have private lessons geared toward their interest. Pattern drafting, advance sewing lessons, marketing a specific item on social media and among friends.
PROJECT 4: Model for Lovely Couture
Little girls modeling Lovely Couture. This is a chance for your angel to build character, walk the shyness right off of herself, by building up high self-esteem and meeting new friends that will encourage and respect her in the process. Welcome to the Lovely Couture family.
PROJECT 5: Financial Literacy
Classes for youth to learn about financial literacy and money management. We bring in professional from financial institutions like TCF Bank to teach youth the importance of saving and being a good steward of their hard earned money.
PROJECT 6: Painting w/ Lovely
The painting experience is a chance for kids to come in and paint the same picture with other kids. Meet new friends, eat cupcakes but most of all have fun giving your parents and grandparents a nice 2.5 hr. break. Did we mention you will be creating a piece to be proud of? And make sure your child takes a picture with Lovely.
